Book Signing

This week is Realm Makers week!!!! Yay!

For those who don’t know, Realm Makers is a Christian speculative fiction writers’ conference, and just about the most fun thing ever. It’s like getting together with 300 of your best friends to chat about all things fandom and writing related.

This year, you all can drop by if you want! For free! All you have to do is get to the St. Louis area by Saturday night. You’ll be able to attend an open to the public book signing where you can meet all the 300 plus authors attending Realm Makers if you want.

On Saturday, July 21st, Realm Makers is having its first official book festival, which will be open to the public. Hundreds of authors will be there, including Wayne Thomas Batson, Nadine Brandes, Mary Weber, Jaye L. Knight, and me. 🙂 If you live anywhere near St. Louis, MO, I highly recommend you to check it out.

Besides preparing for Realm Makers, I’ve been busy being a reader fangirling over books. So many writers I know have been releasing books, releasing titles, releasing covers, it’s been crazy lately! So here’s a quick summary of a few of them! Click on the cover to link to Goodreads to learn more about the books.

Jaye L. Knight revealed covers for both book 5 and a companion novella to the Ilyon Chronicles. I’m so excited for these books! They look amazing!

Aren’t they so pretty! They’re going to be amazing!

Sarah Addison-Fox revealed the cover for the final book in the Allegiance series. I can’t wait to read the ending to this series!

Nadine Brandes released her newest book Fawkes a little over a week ago. Yes, I’ve read it already, and, yes, it is amazing. You can read my review here.

Not to mention, just LOOK at that cover. Even though I knew I’d probably read it as audiobook (which I did, and the audiobook is amazing!), I still bought the hardcover because I knew I wanted this book gracing my shelves. It’s even more stunning in person.

This week, Nadine also revealed the title for her next book, which is going to be Romanov, a historical fantasy about Anastasia! *cue the incessant urge to re-watch the Anastasia movie for the 1000th time* You can read the full blurb about Romanov here on Goodreads. Doesn’t it just give you tingles?

What upcoming books are you excited for? Will I be seeing you in St. Louis on Saturday?

First of all, Indie E-Con is happening this week! You can find all the posts on the Facebook Party with this link or you can find the posts on the blog. Indie E-Con is a great place to connect with a lot of Christian indie authors and learn about a variety of genres.

Indie E-Con even has its own book awards. Voting is open now, and Deliver is up for a few of the awards (along with Disowned by Sarah Addison-Fox). You can click here to vote.

If you landed on my blog as part of the Indie E-Con Scavenger Hunt, my scavenger hunt post is the one right before this one.

Speaking of awards, the voting for the Alliance Award is still open. Deliver made the semi-final list and is eligible for voting, along with a whole bunch of other Christian Speculative Fiction books.

If you love Christian Speculative Fiction, this is a chance to have your voice heard and vote for your favorites, whether that is Deliver or many of the other of the amazing books on this semi-final list!

You can click this link to vote.

Dissociate CoverDissociate releases today! Yay!!!! So excited this book is in the world for all of its fans to love!

About the Book:

Freedom begins with finding the truth.

Amidst the turmoil caused by Smyth’s arrest, Celeste is stuck in limbo, stripped of her citizenship, with no choice but to flee to a peaceful Kyraenean hideaway with the tumultuous Amaya Mason.

When bounty hunters threaten the local orphanage, Celeste and Amaya must work together and fight. Even if it means risking what they cherish the most.

His plans in tatters, his career in jeopardy, Mick Haynes is forced to leave Kyraenea with the enigmatic Torrance Kyle, the agent he still can’t trust.

Torrance is good at lying, and even better at hiding his pain, but is he strong enough to deal with the consequences of betraying his own father?

Can Celeste accept the truth, accept her place in the Haynes family or will lies chain her to the past and destroy her chance at a new life?

Dissociate is available for sale on Amazon here. The first two books in the series Disowned and Dissemble are also available on Amazon.

About the Author:

Sarah Addison-Fox is a New Zealand-born home-schooling mother of two who loves action-packed fantasy with strong heroines. She has an astonishing amount of nail polish, has all her creative writing credentials shoved in a drawer somewhere, and has a husband who, after 27 years, can still make her blush. When she’s not working on her Christian YA fantasy series’,  she can be found fangirling on Goodreads or sending GIFs on Twitter.

Award and Facebook Festival

It has been a crazy couple of weeks! Dagger’s Sleep is being formatted, the blog tour is being finalized, and the early readers already have it in their hands and have begun leaving reviews. Eeep! (I’m not nervous, I’m not nervous, I’m not…who am I kidding? *bites nails*)

Because things haven’t been crazy enough, Deliver (The Blades of Acktar #4) was a semi-finalist for the Alliance Award. This is the same reader award that Defy was a finalist in last year. Thanks so much for loving Deliver enough to vote it into the running!

Voting for finalists is now open. To be eligible to vote, you must have read at least two books on the list. If you haven’t, then go out and read some of the excellent Christian speculative fiction books that are on this list before voting closes on May 31!

To vote, follow this link.

I would be extremely honored if you vote for Deliver, but I know every single book on that list is absolutely amazing (I’ve read most of them) and know voting is going to be a challenge!

In the midst of all of this, Sarah Addison-Fox and I have begun planning the day-long Facebook Festival to celebrate the release of her book Dissociate and Dagger’s Sleep. There will be lots of games, fun, and prizes, including lots of paperback books, author swag from New Zealand, and an Amazon gift card. To top it all off, Serena Chase, the author of the Eyes of E’veria series, will be joining us as a special guest!

Follow this link to join the Facebook Festival!

This post is going to be jammed packed with announcements. So much has been coming together, it’s hard to find time to breathe sometimes!

Destroy audiobook cover artDestroy (The Blades of Acktar 3.5) is now available in audiobook. While I’m excited about the release, that excitement was dampened by the news the narrator Jesse Dornan died unexpectedly shortly after he finished production on this audiobook, and it has released posthumously.

I won’t be doing a big giveaway for this one. If you love listening to audiobooks and would be willing to give this one (or the first three books) a listen and leave a review, please send me an email. I have a few free audiobook codes I can give away.

For now, Deliver won’t be available on audiobook for the foreseeable future.

Dagger’s Sleep is available for preorder for Kindle on Amazon! After the release, I’ll be raising the price from $2.99 to $3.99, so if you want the cheaper price, you’ll want to make sure you preorder.Dagger's Sleep Cover - Updated 031118

I have also set up a preorder in my website’s store if you would like to preorder a signed paperback from me. I will be shipping the books the last week of May as soon as I receive my copies of the books.

You can add Dagger’s Sleep to your want to read list on Goodreads.

As many of you know, I’m going to be hosting a joint blog tour with Sarah Addison-Fox to celebrate our two new releases. Her book Dissociate (book 3 in the Allegiance series) releases on May 22 and Dagger’s Sleep releases May 28, so it made sense to combine our efforts, not to mention she has become a dear friend.

We wanted to make the blog tour as flexible as possible, so the sign up sheet below has lots of options for promoting one or both of the books. If you don’t have a blog (or otherwise can’t be a part of the blog tour), we also have options to be a reviewer only to post reviews of one or both of the books on Goodreads and Amazon. You can sign up for this in the tour sign up below as well.

Since her books are upper young adult Christian fantasy (with an older audience) and mine are mid-level young adult Christian fantasy (with a younger audience), we have listed in the blog tour sign up page a small content advisory so no one is caught off guard. We’ll also have a content advisory picture that blog tour participants can share during the tour as well. As authors, we want to be completely honest about the content of our books so that they can find their way to the right audience of readers who will love them and have their hearts touched by them.

If you have any questions about the tour or reviewing the books, please contact me at triciamingerink (at) gmail (dot) com.

I’m so excited to start planning this blog tour and share these books with you!

Who wants to help with a Cover Reveal?

It has been far too long since I’ve updated about a new book. It’s been far easier to stay silent than admit that, for a while last summer, I wasn’t sure there would be a new book. The words weren’t coming and the more the words didn’t come, the more I stressed about it, and the more I stressed, the more I couldn’t write. I’ve since learned I wasn’t alone. Several other authors I know have said last year was tough for them too. Here’s one of the blog posts here.

Even once I did start writing again, I flat out hated this current book and nearly quit it several times up until I was nearly halfway into it. I dreaded having people ask about it and forced myself to smile as I said it was coming along.

Which probably isn’t the best way to get all of you excited about it, is it?

But I loved and still love the second half of the book, and things finally seem to be falling in place with it. Early reader and editor feedback has been positive. Editing is coming along and making the hated book into something I like and hopefully you’ll like too. And it has a cover. Which I’ll be asking if you want to help reveal at the end of this post.

Cover Reveal Graphic

But first, I’d like to give a shout out to fellow authors who recently had their books release.

First off, Chris Wachter had her first book release! Isn’t the cover so mysterious? I had the privilege to be able to read the first chapter two years ago when I met her in person at Realm Makers, and I can’t wait until I can read the rest of this book! I’m so excited that, after two years of following Chris’s publishing journey, her book is finally out!

You can find the book on Amazon here.

You can also connect with C.S. Wachter at her website: www.cswachter.com.

Dissemble: Allegiance Series #2 by [Addison-Fox, Sarah]Second, Sarah Addison-Fox had her second novel release recently. The cover is so pretty! And the book is absolutely amazing! I’ve had a chance to read it, and you can find my review for it here. Sarah has been such a huge encouragement the last few months, and I’m so excited for her that this book is out and getting such great reviews!

You can find the book on Amazon here.

You can connect with Sarah at her website: www.sarahaddisonfox.com

Now that I’ve thoroughly distracted you with pretty covers, how would you like to help reveal the cover of my upcoming book? Actually, you’ll be helping to release the cover, release date, title, and blurb. You’ll have one week to sign up, and the cover reveal will happen on March 16 starting at 8 AM EST.

No, this book isn’t another The Blades of Acktar book. It is a completely new book set in a new world with new characters and adventures. I hope you’ll love it!
