I realized I haven’t posted on this blog in a while, and most of my recent updates have been sent only to my newsletter. So it is time I posted a few updates here.

The Blades of Acktar

The Blades of Acktar is officially a completed series. A few years ago, I announced that there would be a books 6 & 7. In the past few years, I’ve tried to write book 6. And…it wasn’t working. It was flat. The characters had no growth. And I realized that it was time to let these characters go and leave the happy ending of Decree as it is.

I know this is disappointing, but I’d rather leave the series as it is than write books that aren’t worthy sequels to it.

So right now, there will be no more The Blades of Acktar books. The series is finished.

Since it is now a completed series, I’ve released an ebook boxed set of the whole series. If you prefer reading as a boxed set, it is now available on Amazon on Kindle and in Kindle Unlimited.

Another fun update on the series is that it is now available in hardcover! I designed these hardcovers myself, going for a classic hardcover look, and I really love how they turned out! They are a case laminate only (no dust jacket).

Beyond the Tales

I’ve also designed hardcovers for Beyond the Tales as well! Once again, I went for a more classic hardcover look for these. Like the Blades hardcovers, they are case laminate only (no dust jacket).

And, yes, I know I REALLY need to write Beyond the Tales #4 and finally complete this series and Alex’s romance. Keep your fingers crossed that I will be able to find time between other projects so that I can finally declare this series finished as well.

Etsy Shop

For those of you who don’t know, I have an Etsy shop that sells Blades of Acktar fandom t-shirts and mugs.

I just updated the shop with signed copies of both paperbacks and the new hardcovers of all of my books. Due to the difficulties of getting more books around Christmas time, I put the books up now so that everyone can get their shopping in before things get too crazy for me to buy more copies.

I have also created a permanent promo code for the shop. Buy 5 items (any 5 items in the shop, including mugs, clothing, and signed books), use promo code SAVE15, and get a 15% off discount.

Book prices

Ingram Spark (one of the two companies I use to print my book) just announced a change that will mean my book prices will have to go up (sadly). This will effect prices on the books anywhere but on Amazon. The prices on Amazon should stay the same. I’m hoping it won’t have to go up too much, but I’ll see once I start updating them.

That’s all the updates I have! Thanks for sticking with my blog and my books, even though there hasn’t been a release in a while. The reasons for that is that I’ve become a full time author…under a pen name and writing general market fantasy (contact me or PM me if you want to know what that pen name is). Since the books I’m publishing under that pen name are what pays the bills, those are the books that get written first. I’m also really enjoying writing those books and bringing light to a dark world in a different way than I did with Blades or Beyond the Tales.

I’m hopeful that I’ll someday find some time to write another book for all of you again. I’m not sure when it will be or how long of a wait it will be. But, Lord willing, someday.
