Still crossing my fingers and hoping to get this for Christmas, but I still read the sample. I nearly cried happy tears when Martyn and Leith meat. And I wanted to stab Keevan tward the end of the sample, but one thing I didn’t understand is how did Leith (having never been to school) know how to even start with his school books?
Sorry if any of that would be considered a spoiler. I personally don’t think it would be and would never post one on purpose.

When Leith and Martyn meet, Leith has been with Respen for 3 years at that point. So he’d had 3 years of schoolwork under Respen at that point.

Respen had his old tutor help when needed. Respen isn’t exactly the type to spend each evening planning lessons.
