Beautiful Covers

Hello, everyone!

I keep planning to do a Realm Makers recap post but time keep slipping away and by now you are probably all sick of Realm Makers recap posts anyway. Suffice to say it was amazing!

This week two lovely authors revealed the gorgeous covers to their upcoming releases. I’ve known both of these authors for a while on the Internet, but I was able to meet them at Realm Makers this year!

First up is the cover for Black Blood, book three in S.D. Grimm’s Children of the Blood Moon series. I loved the first two books in this series and can’t wait for the third one to release!

Black Blood

Isn’t it gorgeous! I can’t wait!

Next up, we have The Wolf Prince by Claire Banschbach. I’ve followed the writing progress on this book, and I can’t wait for it to release so I can finally read it!

The cover is just perfect for this story! You can read more about it here on Goodreads.

Any other fun cover reveals you’ve seen lately?

Does the first series have cuss words in it? I don’t read books with cussing in them and it’s getting harder and harder to find clean reads.

Hi, Kim. I don’t think S.D. Grimm’s Children of the Blood Moon series has cuss words in it, but I could be wrong on that. It has been a while since I’ve read the books and cuss words are something that I tend to be able to skip over without having them linger, so I have a hard time remembering which books I’ve read have language concerns and which of them don’t.

That being said, I did a quick search of the reviews for the first book in the series (especially the negative reviews) and I couldn’t find a single one mentioning language, including reviews by those I know are fairly conservative. There is some violence and magic in the books, if that is a concern.

Tricia, thanks for responding. My main concerns are language and sexual content. Fantasy is one of my favorite genres (you being one of my favorite authors – really). I see those things as just another avenue for satan to get to me, so I don’t want to make it easy for him. The series sounded interesting.

I know there’s no sexual content in the first two books of the series at least. The characters are all too busy trying not to die to worry about romance beyond a few “Hey, I think I might like this guy? Eh, I’ll figure it out later when someone isn’t trying to kill us.”
